Written Before Going Back to School

Tomorrow I will be flying back to school. This summer, I passed the PhD Qualifying Exam, but it seems that was the only thing I did.

Renewing my visa took up quite a lot of time, so I did not get much research done, although it is not as if I made no progress at all. Thank you to my advisor for continuing to pay me..

It feels like the second year of my PhD will still be very busy. Although there is no longer a qualifying exam, besides taking classes and doing research, I will also have to teach. I hope I can arrange everything well.
